ARTELLAGRAM 4-2-2011:
"In the Studio"
An Interview with Rachel McDonald

(This interview is continued from the April 2, 2011 Artellagram... )

Artella: In your mind, how are creativity and spirituality related?

Rachel: I think that creativity is a pathway towards spirituality... one of many paths we can take to connect us with our 'Soul Centre' - the wisest part of our truest self.

Creativity can be used to deepen our thinking with regards to the big life questions and access answers we would never normally uncover. It's a beautiful tool for self-growth and emergence.

Artella: How is prosperity related to creativity and spirituality?

Rachel: I define prosperity as flourishing and thriving and for me this is about my well-being and happiness.

My life has been about finding a happiness that fits - not one that fits other people or that other people necessarily approve of, but one that fits me.

My 'happy fit' includes practices relating to creativity (journaling, painting, writing) and spirituality (meditating, retreating).

When I do these practices I feel prosperous because they enable me to flourish and thrive.

Artella: What kinds of people do you most enjoy working with? Who is your ideal client?

Rachel: I help women with children under 3 to emerge from the 'Labyrinth of Motherhood' - and return back "home" to their true self.

I love working with women who are ready to explore the "deeper questions" of their lives and move from surface living through their fears and into their Soul Centre.

I guide my clients through 2 coaching paths:

The Path of Awaken is an inner journey - a soulful way to reclaim your identity. This path enables you to awaken from fear to freedom and find peace.

The Path of Change is an outer journey - a practical way to create your own dreams. This path enables you to change from confusion to clarity and find purpose.

Women who are attracted to these paths are spiritually aware, creative mothers who long to reconnect with themselves.

Artella: ARTbundance™ Coaching is based on nine ARTbundance™ Principles. Do you have a favorite Principle, or one that you really enjoy activating in other people? Which one, and why?

Rachel: I have 3 favourite ARTbundance™ Principles!

The Path of Awaken engages the Principle of Intuition and the The Path of Change engages the Principle of Vision.

I also help my clients create a Bridge between these two paths by using the Principle of Action - after all, doing inner work is no good unless you can use it in your everyday life!

Artella: What does your future hold? What projects are you working on now?

Rachel: I am coaching women to emerge from the Labyrinth of Motherhood and currently setting up a 'WithWomen Circle' (women's group) in my hometown of Shrewsbury, UK.

I am also working, with fellow ARTbundance™ Coach Paula Swenson, on the 3 Wishes Club - a 3 week eCourse designed to help you define, release and create what you really wish for in your life.

Rachel McDonald is a WithWoman. She helps women with children under 3 to emerge from the Labyrinth of Motherhood and recover peace and purpose in everyday life.
