ARTELLAGRAM 8-26-08:
Art Tip:
More I.D.s Instructions

(This project is continued from the August 26 Artellagram...)

To create this art journal page:

1. Create the background for the page. I used acrylic paints to cover the page background, adding dabs with a sponge and making polka dots with the end of the paintbrush handle. Allow to dry.

2. I mixed and matched paper doll parts to make the figure look whimsical. This required a bit of "tailoring" to make the skirt fit the waist of the doll's torso I was using. Adhere doll to page.

3. Load small silver beads on a string to create the strand. Add metal tags on the strand. I glued the tags to the page, and glued a few points on the strand of beads so that the strand would stay secure but parts of it would still be loose.

4. Write I.D. numbers and ideas on white labels, and adhere to each metal tag.

5. I finished the page with some other metal bits: handmade charms (made with PMC – precious metalclay) and letter beads that spelled "MORE ID S"
