ARTELLAGRAM 11-28-09:
"In the Studio"
An Interview with Artist Sherry Hart

(This interview is continued from the November 28 2009 Artellagram...)

Artella: If you were not limited by anything, i.e., time, money, supplies, location) what kind of art would you be creating right now?

Sherry: I would be on the road traveling and shooting all over the world with lots of different lenses for my Nikon and then have a show or publish them so I could share them with everyone else.

Artella: You often combine words and art together. Which usually comes first - the words or the art?

Sherry: It's often a combination.  Sometimes when I am framing a shot I already know what words I will use, but on the flip side, sometimes I will write a line or two and then go out and find the right shot to match it.

Artella: Is it important to be in a good mood when you're creating?

Sherry: Actually, I have found that sometimes the opposite happens to me.  I find myself feeling more joyful after going out to shoot than before I left and I love that feeling!

Artella: Looking at your life, and your artwork, five years from now, do you think there will be significant changes?

Sherry: I hope that five years from now, I will have gained more technical knowledge of photography but more than that, I will be shooting things that satisfy my soul even more!

Artella: What have you learned through building your creative business?

Sherry: That it really does need to be a business, but with a place like Artellaland I can concentrate on my photography and they handle the "business" for me. It's a great partnership!
