Articulation 10-7-03
October 07, 2003
Hi ~

I hope that you all are well and enjoying the transition to Fall!

I just spent a wonderful week with my mother (Artella contributor Arthiss Kliever), who was in town visiting me. We had a wonderful time making art, sharing laughs, and being content to just share a space with one another. And, today happens to be her BIRTHDAY! So I'm very happy to share this week's Articulation, Listening Eyes, in her honor.

Artella News!

1. Don't forget to visit Artella's New Studio! I hope you've visited the new Free-tella Studio, which is the one-stop reference for Artella's top ten gifts for YOU! If not, be sure to take a look at www.ArtellaWordsAndArt.com/free.html and please share this link with your friends. Everyone loves free stuff, right?

2. Winter Submission Deadline Extended! With the change in our production schedule, we've extended the deadline for Artella 5, Winter Magic and Muse to October 20 (firm deadline). We still have space for more writing and art, so I hope you will consider submitting your creative offerings related to the winter season and its holidays. For more information about submitting, go to the Submissions page.

3. Calling all Artists! Artella's upcoming creative online marketplace, The Shoppes of Artella, are officially being built! If you are an artist and are interested to find out why selling in our Shoppes is different than any other online venue, visit the Shoppes page for more information.

Artful Links!

1. WHOA is all I can say about Night Cat Books , the Web site of artist Karen Veni. Her art books, sketches, and paintings are glorious. And turn on your speakers - the music she's got on the site is very cool! There's much to look at on this site, but my favorites are her Art Dolls.

2. I've fallen in love with a link recommended by Melissa Chapin, VanGogh-Gauguin. This is a breathtaking interactive journey that explores the relationship between this two artists. When you have some time to just get lost in an enchanting world, visit this site and click "Start the Experience", and then have fun clicking around to see all of the wonderful surprises. It's a dream!

3. Special note! There was an error in the link for the Eclectic Palette Web site in last week's Articulation. The correct link is www.EclecticPalette.com.

Don't forget...you can see all the archives of Articulation art offerings at www.ArtellaWordsAndArt.com/archives.html.

Wishing you the perfect pair of eyes into which you may pour your dreams.

~Twirling on a Tuesday,

Marney
